Our physical training equipment is in the barn directly opposite the Gite. There is a comprehensive range of machines and weights which together are sufficient for a total body workout.
The Gym is available for use at all times by all of our guests but it is by private arrangement so please ensure that your holiday medical insurance covers such activities. All of the equipment is for adults and is not appropriate for children.
There is a sound system with a selection of CDs, it also includes an IPOD dock so you can bring your own work-out tracks if you wish.
There are 3 machines; the Cross Trainer on the left, the Rower in the centre and the Stepper on the right. They can all be used for every level of exercise from a gentle warm up, through moderate level muscle toning, all the way through to serious muscle building and cardio vascular exhaustion.
The Weight Bench is a very versatile piece of equipment which, if used correctly, can exercise every major muscle group. The variety of exercise is limited only by your imagination and experienced users will find it more than adequate to maintain any training regime whilst on holiday.
It has a selection of bars including dumbbells. The discs start at 0.5 Kg going through to 20 kg, giving a potential maximum lift of 174 Kg.
There is a Dumbbell Rack of stainless steel weights in pairs ranging from 1 kg through to 10 kg. These are very much a favourite with some of our lady guests.
There is a floor exercise area combined with a Sit-Up station which is great for activities such as Pilates.
If that is not enough then there is also the ultimate challenge; The Lat-Bar. It is suspended from the main beam as you enter the Gym just to tease you. If you can achieve 1 single rep, over hand, dead weight full arm extension and touch the bar with your chin you can have membership to our Gym free of charge for life.
